I grew up in a town with hippies, rednecks, and a reservation. My daddy was a cowboy and my mother was a Baptist. Thus, my life experiences molded me to be slightly off center at all times...sometimes right, sometimes left.

I'm not anwhere near being organized after being away from home for eight days, but I'm starting to look at my pictures. I did get some great pictures. As always, I like to have some flower shots. I took this at my retired boss's sister-in-law's house in Indiana. My old boss is a great guy (a visionary but not one who dwells in details), and we had a great visit. He turned out to be my great-aunt's third cousin. Small world.
I know that I will post many pictures from the covert funeral photo op. This is definately a mix of past and present. Of course this was taken through the car window, so it could have been better, but I have no real desire to be shunned. This wasn't covert--I figured they were at the funeral. I love the silo's--they are the windmills of Indiana. This shot was well exposed and composed, other than those pesky power lines.
Another through the window picture. I suspect that these two were Amish, although I can't see if the man had a beard from the picture. If not, they are very conservative old-order Mennonites.

Many, many more pictures to come, although I am sure progress will be slow. My Publisher has a discount through Oct. 31, so I am trying to get some picture book together. If anybody wants to give it a whirl and wants the coupon code, let me know.
